Crossing Visions - Singapore and Xiamen (Lim Hak Tai and Lim Yew Kuan Art Exhibition)
Published in 2011
Crossing Visions pays homage to two generations of artists within this tradition and community, namely the founding principal, Lim Hak Tai and his son, Lim Yew Kuan, whose practices have demonstrated the potential of a modern education within the arts.
The books contain a series of essays discussing the emergence of NAFA and Nanyang art and the legacy of father and son in the Singapore art scene. A large collection of their works including acrylic, oil and Chinese ink paintings as well as pencil, etching, and woodcut artworks is represented here.
