Streams of Change is a publication accompanying the exhibition that delves into the currents of human and ecological transformation through paintings and mixed media work by six Thai artist-educators Ajarns Panot Pluemchusak, Phusit Rattanapanop, Sarawut Ngerphum, Seree Thianjalee, Subhachog Jumsai Na Ayudhya and Supachai Areerungruang from Faculty of Decorative Arts, Silpakorn University.
Using the metaphor of the river system, this visually rich publication explores the interconnectedness between emotional landscapes and the external shifts that impact the world. The artists’ reflections invite viewers to contemplate how ecological changes and human impact have shaped our sense of self and place.
Featuring insightful essays by Dr Bridget Tracy Tan, NAFA’s Senior Director of Institute of Southeast Asian Arts & Art Galleries and Associate Professor Dr Supachai Areerungruang, Streams of Change brings together cross-cultural and geographical wisdom, visualising the collective experience of our times as our people and communities possess the agency to make better choices, in an increasingly fractured and fragile world.
